Dj Iradi – Ecstatic Dance
We are grateful and happy to have Iradi giving a live ecstatic dance session at our retreat.
The sounds of Iradi can’t be labeled. In a live set he mixes all kinds of music into a new blend of unique sounds. Ingredients: ambient, global, techno, house, progressive, psy and many more known and unknown genres.
“As a hypno en regression therapist, I used to work with Shamanistic techniques like trance dance and soul retrieval. Later on I added electronic dance music to these ancient rituals. I found out that specific music can be very helpful exploring the unconsciousness. Like a Mother Earth heartbeat, it can bring you back to, for example, the energetic womb (which gives one the opportunity to make conscious what has been unconscious).
My mixing techniques were zero. I started one CD by another.
In that same period I spend hours on the Dutch dance floors. And to me all the DJ’s I saw were therapists. The ambition to become a dj was born!
When now dj-ing in a club, I know the music works deep into the crowd. To someone the music can be healing, relaxing, therapeutic, psychedelic, and what else.
They say dancing is one of the most origin ways to contact the one you really are. When one becomes one with the dance, it’s possible to experience another dimension of time and space. The dj plays a very important roll in that process. I’m so glad being part of this…!”
Only a few years later, Iradi played at many, many parties. He’s been playing together with house legends Per, Isis and JP. But also with young upcoming techno talents like Analog Effect, Kevin Arneman and Mike Ravelli. His sets were played on Deep fm, Studio 80 Radio, Pure fm, XT3 Techno Radio and the famous Rebel Radio, hosted by house veteran JP (Lone Striker) & “Dance Valley mc” Marxman.
